The CHIPS Act also delivered almost a million dollars in the form of a National Science Foundation workforce grant to Kansas State University. Conspicuously, those visits stopped after the property was damaged by a hurricane in 2024. Now, Marshall is trying to wash his hands of the whole affair, attempting to sell the home and hoping Kansans are none the wiser.

Roger Marshall is as spineless of a politician as they come. For years, Marshall advocated against Proposition 12, a California rule that required Kansas farmers to increase animal enclosure sizes if they wanted to sell to the Golden State. He led two separate pieces of legislation in the Senate to override Prop 12, positioning himself as a protector of Kansas farmers and ranchers who faced regulatory burden from the rule. But when the industry turned down his pleas for a defensive ad campaign and opposing groups started targeting him with TV ads, Marshall quietly withdrew his support for his own bill. When he’s feeling the heat, it is very clear that Roger Marshall lacks the principle to stand for anyone but himself and his own interests.

Roger Marshall brands himself a champion of Kansas farmers. In reality, he seems pretty comfortable letting farmers suffer, on one hand with input costs rising due to the Iran War (which Marshall supports), and on the other being squeezed by tariffs (which Marshall also supports). The resulting crisis has devastated Kansas agriculture and rippled through small business balance sheets and consumer pocketbooks. Because Marshall backed tariffs, Kansas entered a recession.

Roger Marshall turned his back on Kansans when he failed to support the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Marshall panned the bill, called it names, and voted it down. Thankfully, the bill still passed, because Kansas saw billions of dollars invested in a sprawling rejuvenation of infrastructure across the board, benefiting Kansans from all walks of life in every corner of the state. Marshall seems to be thankful, too, because he has made a habit of taking credit for projects around Kansas that stem from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law he so vehemently opposed.

Roger Marshall knows full well how extensive the damage caused by DOGE cuts was for Kansas. Marshall championed DOGE’s hack-and-slash approach to gutting federal programs that Kansas farmers and consumers rely on. He voted repeatedly to codify DOGE cuts and even cofounded the Senate DOGE Caucus. All this as farmers lost protections, Kansans lost jobs by the thousands, and veterans saw their healthcare endangered. No wonder Roger Marshall keeps running away from his rightfully-frustrated constituents. He has no good answers for his bad deeds.

Roger Marshall doesn’t think the Epstein Files are really that big of a deal. He dismissed efforts to unseal the files to the public as a “political stunt” and voted to keep them hidden. To Marshall, uncovering information that could bring justice for the many girls trafficked by Epstein was simply “not of much interest.” Maybe the tens of thousands of dollars in donations he has accepted from Epstein’s buddies play a role in his reluctance to shine a light on the truth.

Doctor Roger Marshall likes to present himself to Kansas voters as a selfless, caring OB-GYN who helped deliver babies for rural Kansas mothers in need. He would rather voters didn’t see the cutthroat reality behind the curtain: for years, Marshall unleashed an endless, “extreme” torrent of hundreds of lawsuits on his patients for unpaid medical debts as small as $101. These patients, often financially vulnerable, saw wage and bank account garnishments and were frequently charged 18 percent interest on their debts, all to pad Marshall’s pocketbook. Dozens of patients were arrested in service of his lawsuits, which he collected on long after he left his practice and entered Congress. In contrast with the persona his campaign promotes, Roger Marshall has a callous and cruel record toward hundreds of his patients in rural Kansas.

All while voting to continue the war with Iran, which has kept fuel and fertilizer prices sky-high for farmers and ranchers. Roger Marshall might talk a big game about helping everyday Kansans, but his corporate donors know where his true loyalties lie.
