Joe Strada advertised himself as a political outsider who was “not for hire,” but proudly and publicly said he wanted to stand next to Donald Trump to help enforce his agenda. Strada called Trump’s rapid signature of executive orders at the beginning of his term “fantastic” and evidence that he was “delivering” for the country, said the country was “winning” and would “continue to win” under Trump’s leadership, and proclaimed the administration was doing “a lot of great things” for the economy after it instituted its first round of tariffs. Strada praised DOGE, calling its actions "commonsense" and saying he was “so grateful” the Trump administration was rooting out “waste and abuse” in federal programs, and called the Republican Reconciliation Bill “phenomenal” and something the American people “have to have.” After he announced his bid for FL-11 in June 2026, Strada said he wanted to "stand right next with President Trump" to help enact his "whole agenda."

Trump was behind legislation that cut health care for 17 million Americans, including nearly 12 million Medicaid beneficiaries. - Strada praised Trump’s “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE), saying he was “so grateful” it was rooting out “waste and abuse” in government programs. DOGE cuts caused longer wait times, frequent website crashes, and mass layoffs in Social Security offices across the country. Effects from DOGE-era cuts lingered at Social Security offices across the nation even a year later. DOGE cuts to Florida agencies left the state less able to respond to extreme weather emergencies and axed vital funding for Florida food banks.
Message: Strada was willing to back an agenda that weakened services for seniors and cut funding meant to help Florida respond to weather emergencies.
¶ STRADA PRAISED AN ECONOMY THAT HINDERED FLORIDA BUSINESSES AND RAISED COSTS
- Strada claimed the country was “feeling really good” due to Trump’s economic policies, and said the administration was doing “a lot of great things” for the economy after Trump instituted his first round of tariffs in February 2025. Trump’s tariffs and economic agenda caused “mega-layoffs” across the country and left Florida economics experts afraid of significant short-term impacts on the state. Florida was forced to shoulder an estimated $12 billion in tariff-related costs, and central Florida’s automobile industry struggled due to high operational costs caused by the tariffs.
Message: Strada supported raising costs on Floridians and causing Florida businesses to struggle.
¶ STRADA STOOD WITH TRUMP AS HE MADE SIGNIFICANT CUTS TO FOOD ASSISTANCE FLORIDIANS RELIED ON TO AFFORD GROCERIES
- Strada said he wanted to “stand right next with President Trump” and help enact his “whole agenda” if elected to Congress. Trump was behind the single largest cut to SNAP in history. The “One Big Beautiful Bill” they pushed through Congress included $186 billion in cuts to food assistance, which 27,587 households in FL-11 relied on.

- Strada touted on his campaign website that he built his HVAC, plumbing and security company Strada Services into a “family-owned company” that serves communities across the Southeastern United States. What Strada failed to mention is that he sold that same company to New York-based private equity firm Trilantic Capital Management in 2021. He managed to cut a sweet deal for himself, too: on his personal financial disclosure, Strada reported holding a 45 percent interest stake in Strada Services worth over $50,000,000 and earning a salary of $212,500 as executive chairman.
Message: Strada presents his business as a family-run service provider, when in reality he sold out while cutting a fat check for himself on the way out.
¶ STRADA REMOVED MENTIONS OF TRUMP ON HIS WEBSITE AFTER WINNING HIS PRIMARY
- On August 17, 2026, the day before FL-11’s GOP primary, Joe Strada’s website advertised that he was a “100% supporter of President Trump” and linked to an interview where Strada praised the Trump administration’s support for trade workers. After a recount of votes in FL-11, Strada became the Republican congressional nominee on August 24, 2026. Suddenly, his website had no mentions of Trump. The banner advertising Strada as Trump’s supporter was removed, and his endorsement section did not feature Trump’s endorsement of his campaign.
Message: Strada used Trump’s name when it served to help his campaign but dropped his support for the president after he won his competitive primary.
